The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts is a specific investment by the people of our state in talented and motivated students.
Through the residential experience serving 230 gifted high school juniors and seniors each year, free out-of-school enrichment programs that reach hundreds of middle and early high school students, distance education initiatives that eliminate opportunity gaps as well as educator development programs that increase capacity, ASMSA seeks to improve the quality of learning for all Arkansas students.
The ASMSA Foundation supports the innovative work of the school by seeking external support to develop new opportunities for students.
Giving Opportunities
Construction of the ASMSA Creativity and Innovation Complex will begin in 2017. The project marks the first new academic facility in school history, and $4.5 million in public/private funds have been committed to the project. Additional funds for fixtures, equipment and technology will ensure it is a robust learning lab for computer science, maker, digital arts and humanities courses. Gifts that help provide students opportunities for summer learning, research experiences, internships, study abroad and other programs are welcome.
Volunteer Opportunities
The ASMSA Foundation seeks mentors for our talented students, who come from all corners of the state, in order to help them understand opportunities for advanced careers in science, technology, engineering and math disciplines as well as dynamic pursuits across the arts, creativity, design and entrepreneurship.
Fundraisers and Events
ASMSA’s Community of Learning Luncheon is an annual celebration of our students, faculty, alumni and stakeholders who combine their passions in the pursuit of excellence. This year’s event, which will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017, at The Arlington Hotel Crystal Ballroom, will recognize early advocates who were instrumental in the creation of ASMSA in 1991.
Other ASMSA Foundation Events include the annual Arkansas Fall Golf Classic (September), Director’s Circle Dinner (October), ArkansasGives (April) and Alumni Weekend (May).
