Revamped RiverFest Announces 2018 Lineup

It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride since The Natural State’s largest music and arts festival closed up shop after its 40th anniversary event last summer. But when Universal Fairs, a Memphis-based company that develops events across the country, announced it was taking over the event, our festival-loving hearts soared.

Scheduled for May 25-27, RiverFest (yes, there’s a capital “F” now) will return to its traditional Memorial Day Weekend schedule. The revamped fest will now feature two main stages with national and local acts, vendors, activities for the kiddos, a bigger carnival area and food trucks, as well as — hallelujah — the demise of Riverbucks.

Of course, RiverFest’s biggest draw has always been its musical lineup. Past headliners include Chris Stapleton, Chicago, Carrie Underwood, Wiz Khalifa, Sheryl Crow, Goo Goo Dolls, REO Speedwagon, Salt-N-Pepa and The Flaming Lips. But with Universal Fairs coming on board late in the game, there was concern they wouldn’t be able to book acts that would attract the crowds.

So how’d they do? You tell us.

Here’s phase one of the 2018 RiverFest musical lineup:

  • Young the Giant

  • Young Thug

  • Kip Moore
  • LANY
  • Highly Suspect

  • Jamey Johnson

  • Margo Price

  • Echosmith

  • Rachel Potter & Steel Union Band

  • Levelle Davison

There will be another announcement in the coming weeks regarding who will be headlining RiverFest.
