Work up a sweat for a great cause at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Race for a Healthier Tomorrow. On Saturday, Oct. 5, runners and walkers of all kinds are invited to support ACH and children fighting for a stronger future through this sixth annual event.
The day kicks off at 9 a.m. on the steps of the Arkansas State Capitol building. Participants will have their pick of two routes: a timed 5K loop through downtown that passes by ACH, or a walking loop down Capitol Avenue that clocks in at just shorter than a mile. Both routes are family-friendly, and all ages and physical levels are welcome to join.
This year will also be a themed race. Participants are encouraged to get creative and dress up in a “Star Wars”–inspired costume. At the finish line, ACH will once again host the Family Fun Zone for the kiddos with activities, entertainment and free hot dogs.
Registration includes a T-shirt and finisher’s medal, and there is also a virtual runner option for those who can’t physically attend. All registrants also have the opportunity to raise funds for ACH leading up to the race.
Proceeds from the event will help advance ACH’s mission to champion children by making them better today and healthier tomorrow. ACH Auxiliary member Stacey Dvorak is chairing the 2024 Race for a Healthier Tomorrow.
