Work up a sweat for a great cause at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Race for a Healthier Tomorrow. On Saturday, Oct. 10, runners and walkers of all kinds are invited to support ACH and children fighting for a stronger future through this eighth annual event.
The day kicks off at 9 a.m. on the steps of the Arkansas State Capitol building. Participants will have their pick of two routes: a timed 5K loop through downtown that passes by ACH, or a walking loop down Capitol Avenue that clocks in at just shorter than a mile. Both routes are family-friendly, and all ages and physical levels are welcome to join.
Attendees are encouraged to infuse some fun into the day’s festivities by getting creative and dressing up in colorful, candy-inspired costumes. At the finish line, ACH will once again host the Family Fun Zone for the kiddos with activities, food and entertainment.
Registration includes a T-shirt and finisher’s medal, and there is also a virtual runner option for those who can’t physically attend. All registrants also have the opportunity to raise funds for ACH leading up to the race.
Proceeds from the event will help advance ACH’s mission to champion children by making them better today and healthier tomorrow.
