A first-time rider learns that he doesn’t always have to grip the saddle horn!

Improving Lives Through Partnership with the Horse.

At Hearts & Hooves, we’re dedicated to serving individuals with special needs, veterans and at-risk youth. We believe in promoting independence through therapeutic riding and equine-facilitated learning to enrich the lives of everyone who participates at the farm. Our program, a nonprofit therapeutic riding center located in Sherwood, Arkansas, began in 2001. We have been a Premier Accredited Center since 2004, demonstrating that we operate in accordance with national standards set by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Intl. We dream of never having to turn away a client due to lack of money.

FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS:

Hoedown has been our annual fundraising event in our arena at Hearts & Hooves for 19 years. A live band, buffet dinner, silent and live auctions and access to see and pet the horses has made for a fun fundraising evening. Support from event sponsors and attendees, as well as the money raised on auction items, have been very important parts of our annual fundraising dollars.
