If you're way over this winter business, here's a little something to hold on to. The Little Rock Farmers Market has officially set the opening day of its 2019 season: Saturday, May 11.

Write it down in your planner or tell Siri to bookmark the date because beginning at 7 a.m., the River Market Pavilions will be filled with all sorts of crafts and wares, and plenty of fresh, local produce, of course.

On opening day, here's some of the produce that will be in season:

  • strawberries
  • asparagus
  • carrots
  • broccoli
  • tomatoes
  • lettuce
  • onions
  • white potatoes

Drooling yet?

The market is open from 7 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturdays through Sept. 28. Follow the Little Rock Farmers Market on Facebook for updates and more info.

And vendors, head to the River Market website for details on how to sign up.
