You know what they say: Hops news is good news, and there seems to be plenty of it these days.
Stone’s Throw Brewing is expanding exponentially for the second time since it launched in July 2013. With three brand new fermenters and a brite tank, each at about 186 gallons, the nano-brewery will more than double their current productions, as well as up availability for some of their most popular beers that take much longer to make.
In MacArthur Park, the Stone’s Throw tap room will be extending its hours starting in October. On Wednesdays, the brewery will be open from 4-9 p.m. with happy hour prices all night and the Hot Rod Wieners food truck outside. If brunch is more your style, the brewery will also be open on Sundays at 11 a.m. with the Waffle Wagon in tow.
“Every Wednesday when I’m working on something at the brewery or we have an event, people try to come in for a drink and I have to turn them away,” co-owner Ian Beard said. “Now customers can enjoy our artisanal beers crafted on site five days a week and grab something from one of our great local food truck partners while they’re here”
Stone’s Throw is currently served at Big Orange Midtown, The Professor Bowl, The Joint and the Flying Saucer, but the increase in production will allow for availability at more bars and restaurants in central Arkansas.
