Men on a Mission 2026: Parker Jenkins, M.D.

Parker Jenkins, M.D.
Partner & Chief Medical Officer, West Little Rock Emergency Hospital

HOW I KNEW THIS WAS MY PASSION
I knew medicine was my passion because I love science, but moreover I love helping people in a time of need. Medicine combines both. Hospital ownership gives me fulfillment by allowing me to take care of my patients like family.

HOW I UNPLUG AFTER A LONG DAY AT WORK
As an emergency physician I am reminded often that life can change quickly. So after a long shift, I unplug by being with my family and taking care of our pets, striving to stay feeling young keeping up with the kids.

MY FIRST JOB AND WHAT IT TAUGHT ME
Oil and gas landman. It taught me attention to detail, communication skills and the importance of independent ownership. It also gave me the opportunity to travel around the country. I was fortunate to carry this job during medical school breaks.

NONPROFIT I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT
The Hope Movement helps women on their journey from hopelessness to Hope through Jesus. We have continued to support their movement because their stories remind me helping people goes beyond just medicine.

ONE THING I WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MY COMPANY
We have an all-star group of physician partners who share the same passion as I do. We believe in high-quality, patient-centered care, helping you navigate the complex medical system by thoroughly listening, performing real-time work-ups when you need it most.
