Men on a Mission 2026: Jeremy L. Hill

Jeremy L. Hill
Executive Director & Senior VP, City Year

HOW I KNEW THIS WAS MY PASSION
Mentors believed in me and helped me see my potential. At City Year, I have the privilege of paying that forward by supporting young adults’ growth, because I know firsthand the difference having someone in your corner can make.

BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR
One of my proudest career moments is watching our AmeriCorps members graduate. Seeing their growth, celebrating their dedication and knowing the difference they’ve made in students’ lives reminds me why I love this work and the lasting impact of service.

HOW I UNPLUG AFTER A LONG DAY AT WORK
After a long day, nothing beats spending time with my daughter, catching up and laughing with friends or watching a good Netflix series. Those moments help me relax, recharge and enjoy the little things that make life special.

ONE THING I WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MY COMPANY
City Year does more than support students academically, we help them recognize their potential. Through mentorship, relationships and service, we remind students they are valued, capable and full of promise. Investing in students means investing in our community’s future.

MY FIRST JOB AND WHAT IT TAUGHT ME
My first job was at Wingstop at 15, where I learned the value of hard work, responsibility, teamwork and earning my own money. It taught me early that success starts with showing up and putting in the effort.
