Men on a Mission 2026: Alex Hudson

Alex Hudson
Senior Events & Philanthropy Manager, Ronald McDonald House Arkansas & North Louisiana

BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR
Seeing people I’ve built relationships with become genuinely invested in the mission. There’s nothing better than watching a donor go from “yes” to “this really matters to me.”

BIGGEST CHALLENGES IN MY CAREER
Learning you can’t do everything yourself. Fundraising is incredibly relational, and some of the best things happen when you trust people, ask for help and let others be part of the work.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED
Don’t be afraid to ask. Whether it’s for an opportunity, a donation, help or a seat at the table, you’ll never know what’s possible if you don’t ask.

LESSON I LEARNED THE HARD WAY
You can’t take every “no” personally. Sometimes it’s just a “not right now,” not a reflection of you, your work or the mission you’re representing. Keep going.

ONE THING I WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MY COMPANY
The House is so much more than a place to stay. It’s a community where families can stay close to their child, share a warm meal, find support and connect with others who understand what they’re going through.

IN THE DETAILS:

Hometown: Donaldson

Favorite Local Purchase: Anything from Domestic Domestic or one of the many great local businesses around Little Rock (I’m a sucker for a good local find)

Little Rock’s Hidden Gem: Lucky Lou’s on Third Street

Sunday Routine: Coffee, a nap and takeout for dinner — I keep Sundays simple and use them to reset

Favorite Local Dish: The Khao Soi at Rex’s, I could eat it every week
