Men on a Mission 2026: Aaron Scott

Aaron Scott
Executive VP, Cromwell Architects Engineers

HOW I KNEW THIS WAS MY PASSION
One summer volunteering at St. Bernards in Jonesboro led me to understand the healthcare environment can influence how patients heal. A mentor from church who practiced architecture helped me see that design could give me a part to play.

MY FIRST JOB AND WHAT IT TAUGHT ME
As a teenager, I learned some of my earliest leadership lessons behind a grocery store register and stocking shelves. I discovered the power of “we” means listening, serving others and building trust. Cromwell leverages “we” to positively impact communities.

ONE THING I WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MY COMPANY
With Arkansas’ focus on improving rural and maternal health, Cromwell’s healthcare practice brings together the people who understand healthcare and the people who design healthcare environments to create places that help patients, families and caregivers live healthier lives.

NONPROFIT I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT
Healing is about more than healthcare treatment. The Goodness Village provides Christian faith-based community support and a place to call home for families seeking care at UAMS, CARTI and Arkansas Children’s. We gratefully support its mission together as a family.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED
First, love God completely and love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-40). Ask, seek, knock” (Matthew 7:7-8). Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly (Micah 6:8). Second, get comfortable with being slightly uncomfortable. Growth happens in the tension.
