Thursday, July 16

Bingo Bash at The Hall // Who doesn’t enjoy a good game of Bingo every once in a while? Hosted by and benefiting Access Schools, this 19th annual party offers food, drinks, raffles and lots of Bingo with big prizes. The numbers start rolling at 6 p.m. Learn more here.

Allen Smith Author Event at WordsWorth Books // The local garden guru is starting a new chapter with the release of his latest book “Moss Mountain Farm: A Sense of Place.” To mark the occasion, the Heights shop will host a conversation with Smith followed by a book signing. Old Forester Whiskey Dinner at Petit & Keet // Let’s enter the weekend with glasses raised, shall we? Old Forester will be sharing five top-notch whiskeys alongside a five-course meal, all “highlighting Southern-inspired flavors.” The sipping starts at 6:30 p.m. Learn more here.

 

Thursday – Sunday, July 16-19

“The Comedy of Errors” at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts // It’s always good to see the bard. This production by Shake on the Lake brings one of Shakespeare’s most memorable works to life in the AMFA’s glass box theater. Classic Movies at Ron Robinson Theater // The popcorn is flowing once again at the CALS theater in the River Market. Up first is “Point Break” on Thursday and “Space Jam” on Friday, both at 7 p.m. Then on Saturday is “Some Like it Hot” at 4 p.m., followed by “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” at 7 p.m. Learn more here.

Friday, July 17

Third Friday Art Walk in Argenta // This monthly walk invites you to stroll through the Argenta Arts District’s lineup of special exhibits and events. Highlights include a Vershea show at Acansa Gallery and an open studio with Elizabeth Hartzell, Katie Childs, Bang-Up Betty and Lee Lee Arts + Design. Art Walk starts at 5 p.m. Learn more here.

 

Friday – Sunday, July 17-19

Arkansas Travelers vs. Wichita Wind Surge at Dickey-Stephens Park // Play ball, y’all. The Travs take on the Surge in this week’s series, which also features different specials each night like fireworks, bingo and some Star Wars action. Learn more here.

Annual Sidewalk Sale at The Art Group Gallery // The Pleasant Ridge Town Center is getting an extra punch of color this weekend from this yearly (indoor) sale. Book Nerd Market at Pettaway Square // If the “book nerd” badge is one you wear with honor, this is for you. The Market at Pettaway is joining forces with Paper Hearts Bookstore and Moody Brews for an afternoon in the courtyard with bookish vendors and artists. The Rock City Margarita Festival + Great Arkansas Beer Festival at the Statehouse Convention Center // You thirsty, Little Rock? Two of the city’s most sippable events are teaming up to host one big, delicious bash. Expect tons of margarita stations, breweries, wines and seltzers, plus plenty of food, games and music. Watermelon Festival at The Bernice Garden // Behold, the essence of summer. Come celebrate all things watermelon, including giveaways, special treats and more.
