Calling all purse fanatics (and those of you who still haven’t come to terms with your infatuation).
The Esse Purse Museum in SoMa has been gaining national attention since its doors opened in late 2013, displaying a collection of handbags that have each been placed within the social context of its era. Attached to the museum is a boutique that, up until now, has only had a brick-and-mortar presence.
That’s right. The Store at Esse Museum is now available online. You can e-browse to your heart’s content through all of the clutches and crossbodies, the shoulder and luxury bags, even earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings and brooches.
“Just as the museum honors and celebrates the American woman, The Store celebrates and honors artisans, craftsmen and the discerning customers who appreciate our support of the arts,” the site boasts. And just like that, we fall in love all over again.
