Dine Out for Our House at 21st Annual Dinner on the Grounds

Little Rock loves a good bash, and this alfresco evening is a citywide springtime favorite.

Dinner on the Grounds returns on Friday, May 1, to Rusty Tractor Vineyards to raise funds for Our House.

Guests are invited for an evening of fine Southern dining with local sweet treats and springtime libations. The family-friendly event also includes lawn games and, as is tradition for Dinner on the Grounds, the soulful musical stylings of Lagniappe.

Now in its 21st year, the nonprofit’s signature fundraiser supports Our House’s work empowering people experiencing homelessness or housing instability in central Arkansas. Its comprehensive programs offer shelter, transitional housing, child care, after-school programs, adult education, workforce training, meals and counseling, among other services.

Last year, Our House broke ground on its new Family Housing and Operations Center. Set to be completed this year, the center will feature 11 new units, expanding the shelter’s capacity by more than 40 beds, along with a renovated playground, bus stop and patio areas.

Support from Dinner on the Grounds will further that expansion and help ensure adults, children and families facing homelessness have a safe place to stay, along with the tools and stability needed to build lasting independence.
