Bring on the Boos at the Little Rock Zoo

Things are getting spooky at the zoo.

Boo at the Zoo is back, bringing scary-good fun for kids and adults at the Little Rock Zoo. One of the state’s largest Halloween festivals, this annual bash brings lions and tigers and monsters to the zoo grounds Oct. 24 – Nov. 1.

Now in its 28th year, Boo at the Zoo has become a local favorite offering guests costume contests, magic shows, live music, a haunted train, activities for the kiddos, a beer garden for the grown-ups and, of course, plenty of candy.

This season the zoo is cranking up the creepy with themed nights. Guests are encouraged to dress according to each night’s theme and enjoy special themed attractions as well. Here’s a look at what’s in store:

  • Oct. 25 – wizards and witches
  • Oct. 26 – Star Wars
  • Oct. 27 – jungle wild
  • Oct. 28 – frogs and fairy tales
  • Oct. 29 – ’80s
  • Oct. 30 – heroes
  • Oct. 31 – Halloween fun
  • Nov. 1 – skeletons

The best part about all this spooky fun? You get to take part surrounded by the zoo’s inhabitants.

Boo at the Zoo hours are 6-9 p.m. each night. For more information and to get tickets (which are also available at the gate), head to the Little Rock Zoo website. And keep up with zoo fun on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
