Artist Spotlight: Lori Weeks

“Mini Poppy Blues” by Lori Weeks, 2024, oil on canvas, 6 x 6.

ABOUT THIS PIECE

“‘Mini Poppy Blues’ is a signature piece from my poppy collection of impasto oil paintings on canvas. This particular piece is one of my favorites, as it is not the normal color variations you would expect to find in nature. The use of oil and palette knife makes for a thick texture with an organic, spontaneous vibe. You can find this painting along with many more works at MAKR Studio in Fayetteville through April.”
