SPONSORED: Annual Birch Tree Communities Art Show Coming This Month

Presented by: Birch Tree Communities

The 18th annual Birch Tree Communities Expressions Art Show will be held Thursday, April 18, from 5:30-8 p.m. at The Hall in Little Rock. During the show, hundreds of beautiful pieces of art created by adults living with severe mental illness will be displayed and for sale. All proceeds from the sale of artwork will go directly to the artist, and additional proceeds will benefit the Birch Tree Communities art fund.

“Art is such an amazing outlet for our members and a way of coping and communicating for them,” says Kristin Calderhead, who serves as art director. “I truly love working with them each day and seeing how proud they are of their creations. No matter what style of art you enjoy, there will be something there that you will enjoy and connect with.”

Several special artworks will be included in a live auction, which will be conducted at approximately 7:30 p.m. The evening will also include live music, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a coffee bar and cash bar. Tickets to the art show are $20 and can be purchased on The Hall’s website, at its box office or at the door the night of the event.

In 2023, more than $12,000 worth of artwork was sold directly benefiting the members of Birch Tree Communities. Funds from the art sales help our members on their journey to more independence and a greater quality of life.
