Camp Aldersgate’s annual fish fry is set for Sunday, Oct. 18, and we’re more than ready to get our hands on a plate.
Now in its 43rd year, this family-friendly fundraiser is a beloved annual tradition with something for all ages. In classic fish fry fashion, each ticket includes a fried catfish meal box with all the fixin’s, while a kids’ fishing derby, carousel rides and other activities invite attendees to explore the campgrounds and enjoy an afternoon together.
Each year, proceeds from the event support the camp’s programs for individuals with disabilities and medical conditions, helping provide barrier-free experiences and opportunities for all. The 2025 event raised a record-breaking $132,000.
“Fish Fry is more than a meal, it’s an opportunity for our community to see firsthand the joy, inclusion and lifelong memories Camp Aldersgate creates every day,” president and CEO Sonya Murphy says. “Every person who attends or supports this event helps ensure more campers can experience the life-changing opportunities that make Camp Aldersgate so special.”
The feast takes place from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. You can order yours ahead of the event or purchase tickets at the gate. There will also be a drive-thru option in the nearby CHI St. Vincent parking lot on Kanis Road for supporters on the go.
