I assumed, like many, that my first job would serve as a stepping stone, a chapter. Instead, I found a passion. Ten years later, I’m proud to lead CareLink’s fundraising, communications and outreach efforts. My staff and I work hard to raise awareness and funds so older people in central Arkansas have the support they need to live independently.
Morning walks. A little movement and a moment to myself before the day starts makes a world of difference.
I work with wonderful humans, from my colleagues to our donors to the seniors we serve. Not a day goes by that I’m not reminded of the good in people.
You can’t fully show up for the people in your life until you know how to do the same for yourself.
Fundraising is not just asking people for money. It’s both an art and a science. The end result? Connecting our community with causes close to their hearts.
