Wilson strives for excellence in property-related legal services, from default to bankruptcy to quiet title actions. Since I was 8 I wanted this job, so I learned everything I could about the practice and every piece of the puzzle. Now, after getting my MBA, I am the co-managing partner, and I focus more on the holistic direction of the firm.
PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
I spearheaded the expansion of our practice into Mississippi – building something (almost) from scratch, just like my Dad did. The feeling I got from that was how I knew.
Biggest challenges in my career
Our industry is extremely competitive across the country, and when COVID hit, we had no choice but to put in the work to be creative and adapt to the times.
What I learned from my first job
At Flake & Kelley I learned about accountability – other business processes relied on me which taught me the importance of showing up and doing what it takes to succeed.
Nonprofit I wish more people knew about
Women & Children First, a shelter for domestic violence victims and children, and the Edianne Cheek Foundation raises funds to support children and families – both are doing great work.
