I am a surgical oncologist at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After residency in general surgery, I completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and practiced in Illinois before moving to Arkansas. I am passionate about caring for patients with many types of cancer, and particularly individualizing the care I provide to each patient.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this was my passion
It is truly rewarding and such a privilege for patients to put their trust in me as a surgeon, and especially when facing a diagnosis of cancer.
What I learned from my first job
It is important to always be reaching for new goals, as that is the best way to continue growing.
Best advice I ever received
“Go to the heart of danger, and there you will find safety.” In other words, don’t be afraid to take the chance, or you will never succeed!
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
I am motivated not only by treating patients and their families, but also about having the privilege of training the next generation of surgeons so they can do the same.
