My business partner, Nick, and I used to work together at a big-chain pharmacy, but felt like we needed another opportunity to take care of patients. We opened The Pharmacy at Wellington in 2015 and have well exceeded our original expectations for a successful business. We are proud to now have a staff of about 50 employees.
I was recognized as the Arkansas Pharmacists Association 2020 Pharmacist of the Year. This was rewarding as we had to quickly adapt to new norms while keeping our pharmacy open.
Take advantage of the opportunities that are presented to you. Do not be afraid to reach outside of your comfort zone and be willing to ask for help.
It’s a small world. Build bridges and expand your network. Surround yourself with a good team. Also, put your patients first; their trust is your greatest asset.
As a college student, I taught my classmates chemistry and physics. Combining my natural ability for science with love for helping others, a career in health care was the next step.
