Pathfinder is dedicated to developing and implementing individualized strategies designed to allow citizens with developmental disabilities complete access to community life. A basic concept of Pathfinder is that all people, regardless of individual differences and intellectual abilities, have an inalienable right to an education and vocational program which is consistent with their needs and helps them to achieve their maximum potential.
Pathfinder seeks to provide the best possible educational and vocational opportunities for individual citizens of Arkansas with developmental disabilities so that it may fulfill its major responsibility: the fullest development of these human resources.
Pathfinder provides an array of services for citizens of various ages. The goal is for each participant to gain independent living skills and become a self-supporting productive member of society. Pathfinder now serves over 1,400 Arkansans. In addition to the already established preschools, Pathfinder recently opened Pathfinder Academy which serves sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students with autism spectrum disorder.
How We Are Funded
Ninety percent of our funding comes from federal Medicaid funds. The remaining funds come from private pay and donations.
Biggest Fundraiser
Pathfinder has held a golf tournament each September for the past 20 years. Last November, Pathfinder celebrated its 40th anniversary with a wine and cheese event that included a silent auction, event sponsorships and donations used for specialized equipment for Pathfinder programs.
Wish List
