Tess Wilmans-Higgins is on a quest to make the world a prettier place, and we think she’s doing a pretty great job.
The self-proclaimed lipstick lover is the beauty and brains behind Winc Beauty (formerly Beauty Geek) located in The Heights. Recently the shop made an upgrade and moved down Kavanaugh to the old Ember location, tripling their square footage. With a new location, Tess thought the shop deserved a new name, too.
“I decided the new place needed a new identity all its own,” she says. “Plus, this one is not only a nod to our love for lashes, but is short for Wilmans, Inc.”
The natural light up front is the perfect amount of sunlight to match makeup shades. In the back, Tess added four private treatment rooms, which means more space for lash extensions, brow shaping and facials. Tess has also added new indie and eco-chic brands like Herbivore, RMS Beauty and Juara skincare to the shop’s beauty line-up.
“We’ve added an exclusive new service that I’m super excited about, too,” Tess says. “It’s called Perk! and it’s by Hydrafacial MD. We’ve got three targeted treatments for the face, lips, and eyes that can be used in conjunction with any facial we offer, or the treatments can be done completely on their own out front. Genius! In about 10 minutes, your skin is smooth, radiant, and hydrated… with no downtime!”
The best part? The vial used during the treatment is yours to keep, so you can extend the life of that luminous glow. Perk! prices range from $35-55.
