The Big Little Rock Holiday Parade Comes to Downtown This Saturday

After a long winter’s nap, a very jolly spectacle will once again hit the streets of downtown Little Rock this Saturday, Dec. 7, at 4 p.m.

The Big Little Rock Holiday Parade is a reimagining of the former Big Jingle Jubilee last held in 2019, and the 2024 event will take a new route. Floats, musicians, marchers and more will now trek down West Markham Street (then President Clinton Ave.) beginning at Broadway and concluding near the Museum of Discovery.

The theme of this year’s parade is Floats Along the River to “celebrate Little Rock’s iconic riverfront.” Pop-up festivities will also take place along the route before and after the parade, including photos with Santa at the Statehouse Convention Center.

Despite the new take on the parade, one tradition remains the same. The event will conclude with the annual lighting of the State Capitol, complete with intricate light displays and fireworks. The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. with the lighting at 6:15 p.m.

And if one parade just isn’t enough, this Saturday also brings the So Southwest Christmas Parade on Geyer Springs Road, the Ferndale Country Christmas Parade and the Maumelle Christmas Parade, as well as the North Little Rock Elks Christmas Parade on Sunday.
