Two Local Breweries Team Up for Ales From the Crypt 2020

East Sixth Brewing Co. and Stone’s Throw Brewing are joining forces for an evening of ghoulish fun.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, the two breweries will present Ales From the Crypt, a socially distanced beerfest alongside a Halloween double feature on the War Memorial Stadium lawn. Attendees will be able to sip on local brews as they watch “Beetlejuice” and “Poltergeist” on a large screen with plenty of space for social distancing.

El Sur Street Food Co. will be onsite with food available for purchase and War Memorial Stadium will also have snacks (popcorn, candy and soft drinks) available for purchase. Festgoers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, but dogs, ice chests and persons under 21 must be left at home. Costumes, however, are highly encouraged.

And since this is the year of COVID-19, there are a few pandemic rules put into place to keep everyone safe. Festgoers are asked to keep six feet between themselves and others, masks must be worn when ordering food and moving about the lawn and if you’re not feeling well, festival staff asks that you stay home.

The fun kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person and include entrance into the stadium as well as beers provided by Stone’s Throw and East Sixth.
