Third Friday Argenta Art Walk, North Little Rock: It’s time to go on a walk, everybody. Lace up your comfy shoes because this fun walk is all about strolling through the Argenta Arts District’s monthly lineup of special exhibits. Walkable galleries include Mugs Café, Argenta Branch of Laman Library, Core Brewery, Greg Thompson Fine Art, Claytime Pottery, House of Art, StudioMain, Argenta Gallery and Barry Thomas Fine Art & Studio. August PopUp Argenta Art Night in North Little Rock: Just when you thought the Ark Walk couldn’t get any more delicious. The latest project from the rapid community development initiative has temporarily turned Argenta into your new favorite hangout spot. Legends of Arkansas Trolley Party through Little Rock and North Little Rock: The countdown is on for Legends of Arkansas, a yearly family-friendly music and arts festival in September. To get the party going early, the fest is holding a fundraiser a la Little Rock trolleys. Everybody Bikes! at the Clinton Presidential Center: This inaugural stock-bike race through the park surrounding the center is just what you need to get your blood pumping. Riders can compete as individuals, on a team or even on tricked out pixie bikes. Bobby’s Bike Hike will provide the identical bikes, you just have to show up, ride and enjoy the taco bar, ice cream and beer. Proceeds go to Recycle Bikes for Kids. Easterseals Walk With Me 5K & Family Fun Walk at the Pleasant Ridge Shopping Center: Whether you choose to run, walk or roll your way through this event, families from all over are welcome to join in the annual 5K USATF-certified race, the 2K family fun walk or the post-race festivities. Wingstock at the Verizon Arena: Hold on to your honey mustard. This new wing and beer festival will host more than 30 local restaurants and vendors as they battle it out to win the coveted Golden Wing Award. Get your fill of top notch wings and wash it all down with a variety of domestic, import and local craft beers. Acapella Rising Annual Show at UA Pulaski Tech: The Center for Humanities and Arts: It’s not every day the city’s premier men’s a cappella chorus shares the stage with the current international silver-medalist quartet, but it’s happening this weekend. The annual concert will feature Acapella Rising and Signature, who was recently ranked as the second best barbershop quartet in the world. Free Admission Day at the Clinton Presidential Center: HBD, Bill! Former President Clinton is turning the big 7-1 and to celebrate, the center will open to the public for free. U.S. Navy Band Cruisers at the First Security Amphitheater: Strike up the band. This weekend marks the first of three free outdoor concerts featuring U.S. military bands as part of the Little Rock Salutes series. Along with the live music from the Cruisers, the audience can take part in family-friendly public safety educational demonstrations and community-building activities.
