Hey, you cotton-headed ninny muggins. Listen up.
The Arkansas Repertory Theatre recently released details about their latest upcoming production, “Elf.” Buddy, Santa, Jovie and the rest of the crew are all gearing up to grace the stage just in time for the holiday season.
Following the same general storyline of the 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell (with some twists), the musical was adapted by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, and has been a crowd favorite since its debut in 2010.
The play follows Buddy, a normal boy raised as an elf in the North Pole. When he learns of his true nature, he journeys to New York City to find his birth father and gets into all sorts of hilarious and sticky (and syrup-y) situations along the way.
Directed by Nicole Capri, The Rep’s production will run from Dec. 5 – Jan. 4. Visit their website for a full list of showtimes and to purchase tickets.
You can probably hear us singing Christmas carols from here.
