It’s been a strange journey for the Little Rock Picture Show.
Formerly known as the Little Rock Horror Picture Show, this event branched off of the now defunct Little Rock Film Festival. Nevertheless, the LRPS is charging forward and marking its fifth year June 10-12 at the Statehouse Convention Center.
The Little Rock Picture Show started a partnership with the River City Comic Expo, and is still packed with the panels, demonstrations and entertainment crowds came to know and love from the LRFF. Filled with all things strange and wonderful, this festival features the best of sci-fi, horror and fantasy films from all over the world, including many from filmmakers in our own backyard.
This year’s lineup includes “The Arbalest,” which was named the South by Southwest Grand Jury Prize Winner, in the opening night festivities. Guests will also be able to attend a special screening of the 1994 cult classic “The Crow” and Q&A with creator James O’Barr at Ron Robinson Theater.
