It’s time to get your nog on, y’all.
The Historic Arkansas Museum’s annual Nog-Off is returning for the 20th year to crown a new champ of the beloved holiday drink. Part competition and part culinary celebration, teams will vie for the rights of best eggnog in town on Friday, Dec. 13, from 5-8 p.m.
Held as part of this month’s 2nd Friday Art Night, the free event offers attendees a taste of the best eggnog recipes from returning champions and local restaurants and businesses, as well as live music from The Jellies, book signings with Liz Williams and Kat Robinson, carols round the fire and more holiday festivities.
Top honors will go to four eggnog winners throughout the night. The awards include the People’s Choice Award voted on by attendees; the Egg, No Nog Award for the best non-alcoholic entry; the Not Your Great, Great, Great Grandfather’s Eggnog Award given to the best non-traditional eggnog; and the Taster’s Choice Award given by a panel of local nog aficionados.
It all goes down at the Historic Arkansas Museum at 200 E. Third St. For more information, visit the HAM website and follow along on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
