We’re calling it: We may have just found our newest Saturday morning spot.
The Sunrise Cafe is located in the Pleasant Ridge Town Center between Belk & The Toggery, and by the looks of it, this place is going to be a total breath of fresh air.
The new restaurant will be an Argentinean-style coffee shop, which already has us interested. According to the owner, Martina Casserly, customers will be able to enjoy coffee, pastries and other breakfast foods, as well as a lunch menu with sandwiches and the like. It’s all the things you’d expect from your favorite cafe, but with the twist of a place “created for sharing the culture and likes of Argentina.”
Sunrise Cafe will be a family-friendly spot, happily joining the ranks of other local favorites in the shopping center like Santo Coyote and Little Greek Restaurant.
The cafe is currently in the final stages of construction and is slated to open in February. Until then, we’ll just have to dream.
