South Main Vintage Market Returns — Finally!

Patience is a virtue. It’s a virtue that can be particularly difficult to grasp when you’re excited for something, but nonetheless, we’ve finally made it to the opening weekend of South Main Vintage Market season.

The popular pop-up market was originally slated to return to The Bernice Garden on April 9, and was cancelled shortly before opening day.

But hope is not lost, friends. The market is celebrating its grand arrival this weekend from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, and with a brand new element.

Traditionally, the market includes items that fall into one of three categories: vintage (20 years old or more), antique (50 years old or more) or recycled/upcycled pieces. The market also encourages pieces to be high-quality, obscure, eccentric, fun and clean.

This year, however, the powers that be are opening the market up to artists and craftspeople to become vendors, so you’ll have even more goodies to peruse. Plus, whenever you get hungry, Solfood Kitchen Coop will be on deck to help keep you going.

The SoMa event recurs every second Saturday through October (except for the month of Augusts, because August in Arkansas is a big no).

For more information, check out the South Main Vintage Market’s Facebook page. If you’re interested in being a vendor, email BerniceGarden@gmail.com or call (501) 410-3938.
