Soirée Kids: The Importance of Variety

Shana Nolen
Head of School, The Anthony School

Q: Why is it important for my child to explore a variety of interests?

A: At The Anthony School, we believe that no child is good at everything, but every child is good at something. Our role is to help each student discover what that “something” is and give them the confidence to pursue it.

That’s why we focus on whole-child education, providing students with meaningful exposure to the arts, theater, world cultures, foreign languages, STEAM and more, beginning in the earliest grades and continuing through eighth grade. These aren’t “extras.” They’re opportunities for students to explore, take risks and find what truly excites them.

This year, we’re thrilled to open a newly renovated wing that celebrates creativity and innovation. It includes new art studios, a kiln room, a STEAM classroom and a fully equipped music room complete with a recording booth. These state-of-the-art spaces help students engage deeply, think independently and shine in their own unique ways.

Children thrive when they feel known, challenged and inspired. Whether it’s through music, math, movement or making, The Anthony School is here to help them find their place and their passion.
