Save the Date for SoMa’s Halloween Trunk-or-Treat

Trick-or-treating won’t be the same this year, but local businesses are teaming up to make sure kiddos still have a chance to dress up and fill up their bags with candy galore.

Loblolly Creamery and The New Gallery in SoMa are hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event in the parking lot of the SoMa Outdoor Dining Room on Oct. 31 from 5-7:30 p.m. Jeep, car and truck clubs, church groups, local businesses and organizations will line the parking lot where kids can pick up candy from the decorated trunks.

The event will be conducted with social distancing and safety guidelines in place. Everyone must wear a face mask and stay six feet away from other trick-or-treaters. Hand sanitizer will be provided and there will be one way entrance and exit to keep track of how many people are trick-or-treating at one time.

The only hard guideline to follow? They encourage you to wait until you get home to eat your candy.
