Monica Treat has been in the insurance business for 20 years and she started Treat Insurance Agency in 2008. The driving forces behind her success include striving to be the best in her line of work, being a financially independent woman, and being better tomorrow than she is today.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, she is a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School. Treat and her high school sweetheart have been married for 18 years and have three fur children: Bentley (Morkie), Murphy (Newfoundland) and Molly (cat).
In addition to her insurance agency, she and her husband own Noah Treat Construction and build new homes in central Arkansas. “I love helping with design! It’s a great, creative outlet for me. We stay busy chasing our dreams. We are forever thankful to be born in America and given the opportunity to create our own destiny!” says Treat.
Why did you decide to specialize in Medicare products?
Medicare is very overwhelming and the options are endless. Instead of feeling like I’m selling something, I feel like I’m providing a valuable service by helping people navigate Medicare with clarity and ease. I’ve spent 13 years learning the Medicare language, rules, enrollment process, potential penalties, plan options and everything in between! When someone comes into my office anxiety-ridden about the complexities of Medicare, I love being able to confidently reassure them that this is my wheelhouse. I feel their relief when they realize they don’t have to figure it all out on their own.
What is the most important factor when choosing a Medicare plan?
To find an experienced, independent agent. You want an agent that is contracted with the vast majority of companies that offer Medicare plans. The benefit is that you’ll receive unbiased plan recommendations this way. Independent agents don’t work for a particular insurance company, they work for you!
What makes your customer service outstanding?
I have a dream team that is committed to our company thought process. “If we were the customer, how would we want this handled?” It’s a fail-proof corporate mentality that creates outstanding customer service. It keeps us going the extra mile and striving to keep things simple for our clients.
