We can smell the fried greatness now.
Camp Aldersgate's 40th annual fish fry is set for Sunday, Oct. 29, and we're more than ready to get our hands on a plate.
Celebrating a milestone year, this family-friendly fundraiser is a crowd favorite and and brings the fun for all ages. In traditional fish fry fashion, each ticket will include a fried fish meal box with all the fixins, and continuing the expanded event that debuted last year, this year will again offer yard games, a youth fishing derby, carousel rides and more activities to help attendees explore the grounds.
"I am honored to chair this event for the second time and especially so in our 40th year," event chair Cathy Engelkes says. "Helping share the impact of Camp Aldersgate within our community is so important, and knowing the financial impact this event can have for our campers is what inspires me."
You can order your feast ahead of the event or purchase tickets at the gate. There will also be a drive-thru option in the nearby CHI St. Vincent parking lot on Kanis Road for supporters on the go.
As always, proceeds from the event go toward the camp's programs for youth with special needs and medical conditions.
