We can smell the fried greatness now.

Camp Aldersgate's annual fish fry is set for Sunday, Oct. 16, and we're more than ready to get our hands on a plate.

Now in its 39th year, this family-friendly fundraiser is a crowd favorite and is making its return to in-person fun. In traditional fish fry fashion, each ticket will include a fried fish meal box with all the fixins, but this year's event will also offer adaptive yoga sessions, a youth fishing derby and more activities to help attendees explore the grounds.

"The structure of this year’s event is a game changer," event chair Cathy Engelkes says. "Getting so much external involvement will not only grow Fish Fry this year but sets the stage for years to come. I see this year as a jumping off point."

You can order your feast ahead of the event or purchase tickets at the gate. There will also be a drive-thru option in the nearby OrthoArkansas parking lot for supporters on the go.

As always, proceeds from the event go toward the camp's programs for youth with special needs and medical conditions.
