MISSION
Founded in 1998, the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas engages the community to promote women and girls across the state so they can realize their full potential. We strive to see a state where Arkansas women have the voices, choices and opportunities to participate in their community. The WFA is the state’s only statewide foundation dedicated to improving the economic security of its women and girls.
FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS
Fundraising efforts include the annual Power of the Purse luncheon, held each fall, where we celebrate women in our community and raise funds to invest back in our work.
The Girls of Promise conference, hosted each spring, brings eighth-grade girls from around the state to meet women succeeding in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers and inspiring young girls to see the opportunities available to them in education and career exploration.
