The fourth annual Seersucker Social is right around the corner, y’all.
Hosted by the 1836 Club, the event will take place 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at the Old State House Museum, and celebrates all good things of the South. The signature event of the 1836 Club will have lawn games, hors d’oeuvres, mint juleps — of course — and live music by the Big Steel River Band. There are even prizes for the best dressed guy and gal. (And that “seersucker” thing is just a code word for “Southern.” You don’t actually have to wear seersucker.)
In case you can’t tell, we are super excited about this. We’re so excited, in fact, that we’re holding an Instagram contest and giving away two tickets to the Seersucker Social!
All you have to do is post a photo of your favorite thing about springtime in the South using the hashtag #SpringtimeSoiree before Thursday, April 23. We’ll announce the winner on the following Friday.
Now start snapping those springtime pics!
