Somebody hand us a mint julep.
The fourth annual Seersucker Social is officially on the springtime horizon. Hosted by the 1836 Club, the event will take place 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at the Old State House Museum.
Dripping with Southern style, the Seersucker Social celebrates all good things about the South with the good ol’ boys and gals who love it. The best part is that all proceeds will benefit the School Bus Fund, a local initiative that enables area schools to come visit the Old State House and learn about Arkansas history.
This is the signature event of the Old State House 1836 Club, so expect plenty of lawn games, hors d’oeuvres, mint juleps and live music by the Big Steel River Band. Dress in your quintessentially Southern best (seersucker not required) and enjoy the springtime weather. There are even prizes for the best dressed guy and gal.
Tickets are $40 and are available here. Must be 21 or older. Sorry, kids.
