Mid-America Science Museum, Hot Springs
The Mid-America Science Museum features more than 100 hands-on exhibits that explore the wonders of energy, matter, life and perception. Experience the world’s most powerful conical Tesla coil (recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records), the science skywalk, the Digital Dome Theater, the workshop area and the Dinotrek where you can meet 13 species of dinosaurs face to face. Delta Cultural Center, Helena
The Delta Cultural Center was established in 1989 as an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and it exists to celebrate the rich heritage of the Arkansas Delta. From its humble beginnings in the restored train depot, the Delta Cultural Center has expanded to include multiple properties, each telling a different part of Arkansas’ story.
The Delta Cultural Center visitors center and depot are open to the public with guided or self-guided tours. Freedom Park, Fort Curtis and Battery C Park are all outdoor self-guided experiences. Crystal Bridges, Bentonville
If you’re in need of some new art in your summertime agenda, take a day trip to Bentonville and visit the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art featuring a permanent collection and rotating exhibits like the always Instagrammable “Infinity Mirrored Room” installation by Yayoi Kusama. The museum also opened a splash pad in recent months, making it the perfect stop after exploring the campus trails in the late summer sun. Learn more here.
