Since meeting FCB Chairman and CEO Dale Cole in 1997, I had a desire to work for this outstanding community-oriented bank. I was asked to join them in 2016, and I came on board with no hesitation.
BIGGEST CHALLENGES IN MY CAREER
The changing landscape of bank regulation. Community banks are being forced to follow megabank guidelines. This hurts communities where banks are located and causes more sales and mergers. I believe that community banks are the lifeblood of our cities.
ONE PRACTICE I USE TO MAINTAIN MY MENTAL HEALTH
I make time to pray daily and find it really gives me a calming and steady influence over my day’s challenges. Also, I get up at 5:15 a.m. every day to read the paper and then finish with the comics.
WHAT KEEPS ME MOTIVATED
Every day in banking is a new challenge. As we strive to grow our franchise in Little Rock, I keep in mind the many opportunities out there and consistently remind our team to always ask for the business.
