BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR
Deciding to return home to Arkansas to start my plastic surgery career and starting my private practice have been career defining moments for me. I enjoy applying skills and techniques I learned training at different institutions.
NONPROFIT I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT
Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Campaign is an educational program from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons that works to educate patients that the breast cancer loop remains open until a woman is informed of breast reconstruction options.
WHAT KEEPS ME COMING BACK TO MY JOB EVERY DAY
Being a plastic surgeon uses a variety of skills every day. No two days are ever the same.
WHAT KEEPS ME MOTIVATED
My patients. I practice reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. I enjoy helping reconstructive patients restore their appearance or function after a cancer diagnosis or trauma event. I also enjoy helping patients achieve their surgical aesthetic goals.
A SKILL I NEVER EXPECTED TO USE IN THIS FIELD
Dexterity. All those years playing the piano paid off during surgical training.
