Men on a Mission 2021: Carl Carter Jr.

BEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR
In 2019, I was selected for a role representing our company on a national scale. I realize the trust and confidence they have in me, and I work daily to use this platform to positively impact our members and providers.

NONPROFIT I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT
In 2017, I founded the Beverly Carter Foundation. My precious mom, Beverly Carter, was kidnapped and murdered while working as a real estate agent. To date, the nonprofit has conducted over 300 safety classes all over the U.S. and Canada.

A SKILL I NEVER EXPECTED TO USE IN THIS FIELD
I never expected my knack for all things artistic would be so useful in the health insurance space. As I’ve learned, creativity isn’t limited to a canvas or the stage, it can solve complex business issues.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED
Lift others up and solve problems. All day, every day.

ONE THING I WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MY COMPANY
During my 23 years of tenure, many things have changed. However, our members have always remained our No. 1 priority. “Members First” is at the forefront of everything we do.
