The Arkansas Financial Group Inc. has been “helping busy people make smart financial decisions” since 1982, now serving clients in Arkansas and 25 other states. Its three pillars are planning, transparency and discipline, and team members serve as fiduciaries in clients’ financial affairs, meaning all advice is based on the client’s best interest. As a fee-only firm, they receive no commissions or third-party compensation. This helps mitigate conflicts of interest and keep focus solely on what’s best for those they serve.
Each client has a different comfort level with risk. When you meet with a team member, they’ll explore your unique attitudes about risk vs. reward to ensure planning advice takes this into consideration, resulting in a financial plan that lets you sleep comfortably at night.
Their Certified Financial Planners™ include founder and CEO Rick Adkins, who founded the company in 1982. The firm’s president, Kristina Bolhouse, is a CPA from Michigan who joined in 1999, adding her vast tax knowledge to the firm. Dr. Ralph Broadwater joined the firm in 2008, bringing a unique knowledge of planning for physicians. The newest partner, Mary McCraw, also joined in 2008 after working at a Los Angeles planning firm that served entertainers and athletes. Jake Spradlin is the latest addition to the team of CFPs®. He joined the firm in 2023, transitioning from a career in banking.
