Thursday, Aug. 27

Seersucker Soirée at the ASO Stella Boyle Smith Music Center // The style and the sounds are in perfect harmony for this inaugural event. Benefiting the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Guild, the night promises live jazz, signature cocktails and light bites, and of course, your best summer fashions are very much encouraged. “Hamilton” at the Robinson Center // This is your shot, Little Rock. The smash hit show that took the world by storm is taking the downtown stage this week with its iconic reimagining of the early days of America. Learn more here.

“Hands on a Hard Body” Opening Weekend at Argenta Contemporary Theatre // The title is as funny as it is memorable, and the same goes for the show. Based on the cult-favorite 1997 documentary of the same name, this Tony-nominated musical follows 10 contestants competing for a truck in Texas where the last one standing wins. Learn more here.

Reel Queer Film Festival at the Ron Robinson Theater // Formerly known as the Kaleidoscope Film Festival, this annual event is marking its 12th year of celebrating and showcasing “poignant and thought-provoking films documenting LGBT+ lives truthfully and with respect.” We’re in. The 2026 fest includes multiple screenings and social events, including a VIP drag show on Saturday night. Learn more here. Friday, Aug. 28

Grand Opening at Putt Chip Chill // Let the games begin. Located on the Northshore Golf Range, this much-anticipated outdoor entertainment destination is ready to tee off. Alongside the driving range is an expansive mini golf course, plus food trucks, bars, a live music stage and more. Opening day hours are 10 a.m. – midnight. Learn more here.

Saturday, Aug. 29

Great Southern Stone Skipping Championships at Murray Park // Getting the most skips is usually just worth bragging points, but this weekend it’s worth cash. Coming to a new location, this annual contest has different brackets for men, women and youth competitors, and the best part is that all proceeds go to local food pantries. Craft in Common at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts // New to the AMFA calendar is this one-day program exploring collecting, creating and craft with a day featuring Arkansas artists and connoisseurs through conversations, demonstrations and film screenings.
