We always knew Little Rock was the place to be.
Recently Arkansas’ capital city was one of 20 selected by USA Today in a readers’ choice competition for Best Travel-Worthy State Capital, and we were up against some pretty stiff competition, folks.
But lo and behold, the people have spoken and voters chose Little Rock as one of the top three destination capital cities! Carson City, Nevada, and Juneau, Alaska, rounded off the count with Little Rock beating the likes of cities like Sacramento, California; Honolulu, Hawaii; and Boston, Massachusetts.
Here’s how our capital is described in the listing:
A downtown renaissance has transformed Little Rock into a city with culture, cuisine and abundant outdoor activities. Visitors can rent a bike and pedal the 16-mile loop along the Arkansas River Trail, visit the Clinton Presidential Center and the Little Rock Central National Historic Site, a National Park Service unit that interprets the crucial role played by the school in the civil rights struggle.
So congratulations to our fair city! We wouldn’t have you any other way.
