Kris Allen, Barrett Baber and More Slated for UCA Music Event

Imagine throwing a homecoming party and inviting some of your friends who just happen to be musical celebrities. That’s exactly what the University of Central Arkansas is doing on Friday, Oct. 28.

Kris Allen, Barrett Baber, Matthew Huff, Adam Hambrick and Hannah Blaylock — all UCA alumni and all successful performing artists — will converge on their alma mater for the Allen & Baber: Back at Home concert at the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall.

Allen and Baber you remember from the spotlight of primetime on American Idol and The Voice, as well as their various musical escapades since. As an independent and country artist, Huff claimed the titles of Best Country Song of the Year and Best New Male Artist at the 2016 Indie Music Channel Awards. Singer/songwriter Hambrick was discovered by country singer Justin Moore, has toured with the likes of Eli Young Band and whose songs have been recorded by artists like Miranda Lambert and Rascal Flatts. Blaylock is the founding member and lead vocalist of country music trio Eden’s Edge who has shared the stage with folks like Brad Paisley and Reba McEntire, and who recently cut an album with founding member of the Dixie Chicks Emily Strayer.

Tickets ate $25 for the public ($10 for UCA students) and are available now. To get yours, stop by campus, call (501) 450-3265 or visit the school’s website.
