This is it. It’s time for the official lineup of performers coming to Riverfest 2016.
There’ve been some big changes to The Natural State’s largest music and arts festival over the last year. For the first time ever, Memorial Day weekend will no longer play host to Riverfest events. And that’s not all. The festival will now split into two separate events, Springfest and Riverfest.
Springfest, scheduled for Saturday, April 2, is a free event packed with all of the family and daytime activities. Riverfest, now slated for the weekend of June 3-5, still has all of the concerts, vendors and deliciously greasy food you love. There will even be an inaugural wine and craft beer bash on Friday night.
The purpose: Organizers needed a new approach to the struggle of keeping ticket prices down for families while the prices to book popular bands keeps going up. So did the split work? Were they able to score bigger and better acts this year?
