Go-and-See: Glen Campbell Documentary at Ron Robinson Theater

The Arkansas Motion Picture Institute and Central Arkansas Library System are presenting an advanced screening of a new documentary on Arkansas native and Grammy Award-winning country music artist Glen Campbell at the Ron Robinson Theater this Thursday.

The film, “Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me,” is directed by James Keach, producer of “Walk The Line,” and produced by Keach and Trevor Albert. The documentary follows the pride of Billstown on his Goodbye Tour after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2011.

During his long career, that started in the 1950s and ended in 2012,  Campbell enjoyed 21 Top 40 hits and two No. 1 songs. He also won five Grammy Awards and received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.

Campbell is know for songs like “Gentle on My Mind,” “By the Time I Get to Phoenix,” “Wichita Lineman,” “Galveston” and “Rhinestone Cowboy.”

Tickets to the documentary screening are $25 and can be purchased here. The doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the movie starts at 7 p.m.
