Giving Guide: Centers for Youth & Families

The Centers for Youth & Families has improved the lives of thousands of children, youth and families in Arkansas since its creation in 1884. More than 4,500 people benefit from mental health services at Centers for Youth and Families’ locations in Little Rock and Monticello each year.

Dedicated employees heal children, adolescents and adults from complex trauma through services that include residential care for survivors of abuse, neglect, abandonment or human trafficking; therapeutic foster care; outpatient counseling; day treatment and transitional care. Specialized mental health services for adults include outpatient counseling, care coordination and day treatment.

You can join the Center Corps Auxiliary, the Emerging Leaders young professionals group or nominate young men in 11th or 12th grade to be in the Champions of Hope service program. You can sponsor events that include BrunchFest, a golf tournament and The Evolve Gala.

• $250 for monthly birthday parties: CFYF Little Rock can be home to nearly 100 boys and girls each day and celebrates everyone’s birthday with a special meal, cake and presents.

• $100 for recreational supplies: Therapists engage children through arts and crafts, games, books, fitness and more.

• $50 for welcome bags: Each child receives a welcome bag with contents like stuffed animals, games, hygiene products and sensory stimulation items.

• Adopt a wish list at Christmas: You help make Christmas happen for boys and girls at CFYF each holiday season. Without you, they would have no presents under the tree.
