MISSION:
Founded in 1967, the Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) Auxiliary is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization, with more than 500 members. To support patients and families, the ACH Auxiliary undertakes five major projects each year: a la Carte, Holiday Card Project, Miracle Ball, Race for a Healthier Tomorrow and the ACHiever program. Members also volunteer in the Playaway Gift Shop, located in the ACH lobby. In 2024-25, the ACH Auxiliary made a historic $1.65 million gift to ACH – the largest in the organization’s 58-year history. The ACH Auxiliary also announced an $8 million commitment to the hospital’s largest-ever expansion project, which aims to enhance patient care and transform the campus experience.
FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS:
- Miracle Ball: A black-tie event during the holiday season that includes cocktails, dinner and premier live and silent auctions.
- A la Carte: A local restaurant tasting event with a silent auction.
- Race for a Healthier Tomorrow: A themed, family-friendly 5K race and family walk.
- Holiday Card Project: Sale of seasonal cards and gifts featuring artwork by ACH patients.
- ACHiever Program: A volunteer program for ninth grade students that introduces participants to health care careers and inspires philanthropy.
- Playaway Gift Shop: Members volunteer their time in the ACH gift shop, serving patients, their families and friends, and employees.
